The house was originally purchased by our family in the 1950's. In 2019, we took ownership of the home and transformed it into our "Blue Heaven". We are located adjacent to the Scallywags Marina. Scallywags includes 24-hr non-ethanol fuel, a public boat ramp (for a $5 daily launching fee), great food, ice-cream and also a full bar! On weekends, they also have live outdoor entertainment. Checkout Scallywags facebook page for full menu, food specials and entertainment lineup/hours. Parking: Up to 4 vehicles can park on our paved drive and under our covered carport. Overflow parking for larger vehicles and boat trailers is available across the road from the home as needed along our additional wooded property. This historic lakefront property has been fully renovated and includes 4+ bedrooms, deep water for swimming and an extra wide established lot for privacy and beds for sleeping up to 13. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms and a fully renovated luxury bathroom with a beautiful fully glassed shower including Corian Marble tiling and huge rain head shower. Bedroom #1 (sleeps 2) includes a queen bed, Bedroom #2 (sleeps 4) has two sets of bunk beds ideal for kids, Bedroom #3 (sleeps 2) has a comfortable queen bed. Downstairs you will find a family room area with 50 inch HDTV and also a 4th Bedroom (sleeps 3) which includes a full size bed and a twin sleeper sofa. Downstairs, there is also an additional Bedroom/Niche area (sleeps 2) with 2 twin beds plus locker storage as well as an additional luxury bathroom. In addition to the 13 beds described above, we also have overflow accommodations for up to 4 additional paid guests including the following: A fold out twin bed in the upstairs living room displayed as an ottoman. A fold up portable twin cot in the basement game closet, and A full size futon in the downstairs living room/TV area. For the safety of our "younger" or furry guests, there are three adjustable baby gates to be used as needed. Our home also includes a newly constructed two-story custom deck and a large glass sunroom with multiple doors and incredible views of the Uwharrie National Forest. You won't believe the views and variety of wildlife at Blue Heaven all while overlooking a huge 175 ft of waterfront property! We include a variety of watersport equipment to create your own family adventure. To find shade and seek the lakeside breeze, you can enjoy a tin roofed and fully restored 1,300 sf boat dock providing some of the best fishing and playtime on Badin Lake. See recent photos of a few select fish. The home includes approximately 2,600 sf of fully conditioned space not including a recreational basement and washroom area cooled by a window unit. There are multiple HVAC systems, a large capacity water heater, updated wiring and plumbing fixtures, all new beds and bedding, fresh paint throughout, all new luxury vinyl (waterproof) flooring and furnishings designed to handle wet feet and lake living. The main floor still has some of the character from the 1950's (check out the original phone, original farm sink in the basement, and select antique home furnishings). You will enjoy an open floor plan complete with a fully updated and stocked kitchen, all new appliances, and a large gathering area with plenty of seating. Also in the main area for use during the colder months, we have a large original wood burning fireplace designed to heat the house with built-in fans. The upstairs living area also includes the 1950's dining room set and sitting for at least 6, plus the 5 original bar stools that line the spacious black granite kitchen island. Basement entertainment areas include water views, board games, a dart board, corn hole and a pool table. The home includes fiber optic cable with 150+ channels, multiple HDTVs, and unlimited wireless internet service. The home is custom designed to entertain multiple families, keeping children and house-trained dogs in mind...2 dog maximum unless discussed with us prior to your arrival (there is a pet fee if applicable and please be sure to indicate pets are included with your reservation). We do not allow Cats at this time ***We take extreme pride in the the cleanliness of our home. We, the owners, are the manager and housekeepers :) After every stay, especially with guests with pets, the house is deep cleaned. All bedding is removed and replaced with fresh linens. All mattresses and pillows are covered with waterproof, hypoallergenic protectors and changed out after every rental. We vacuum all furniture, baseboards, dust and sanitize all surfaces to ensure a clean environment. After pet guest, extra focus is placed on sanitation and hair removal*** The lower level deck includes a large stainless steel propane gas grill and comfortable sitting areas with a table for outdoor dining. Outside, while enjoying the lakeside areas, please help yourself to the natural stone fire-pit for cooking smores (includes some wood and fire starting supplies and the nearby Badin Lake General Store has plenty of wood as needed), a relaxing waterfront hammock, or enjoy our kayaks and paddle boards! We also have multiple life jackets available if needed. Our dock has three available boat slips which are large enough to accommodate your personal watercraft or boat. If boats happen to not fit in the slips we also provide ropes and buoys so you can tie up to the dock exterior. Make yourself at home at "Our Blue Heaven"! PLEASE NOTE: Cleaning Fee $185 If early and/or late check-in/ check-out are possible we will try to accommodate your request. A $58 fee will apply for either an early check in or for late check-ins (if approved and typically in 4 hr increments). This beautiful three story over 4500+ sq. ft. home, with attached two-car carport, sits on a generous 101’ waterfront lot with a private aluminum pier and boat slip. The cook top centers itself in the middle of the kitchen with its own island, with sit down area, and new cookware is easily accessible directly above on cast iron pot rack. Opposite the kitchen, the dining area is home to a large solid oak table and seating for ten in addition to four more matching seats at extra sit down bar areas. The large matching buffet encloses the room off from the rest of the main room directly beside it. From the dining area, the deck is accessible through the sliding glass doors to either cook on the grill and or descend to the bottom level. The main family room is overlooked by a two story stone oversized fireplace from floor to ceiling. A large oversized sofa is flanked by two oversized chairs and a half and their attending ottomans. Two towering solid cherry bookshelves enclose the fireplace to finish off the room with lots of books, both Christian and secular to choose from. The rest of the first floor is devoted to the master suite. It is accessible either from the main area or by the side hall from the entrance. It is extremely large with windows overlooking the back yard and the beauty of the lake. It has a king size bed with a very plush high end mattress along with a single iron day bed, a television, DVD and CD player, two custom made cushioned arm chairs and bed side table. The rest of the area adjacent to the master suite consists of a large garden tub, overlooked by large glass block window, sink and cabinetry within its own room and capable of being shut off from the rest of the area. The oversized hallway has the toilet closet to one side, walk in his and her closets on the left followed by a shower, sink and cabinetry in another room. On the third floor, one easily notices the loft areas, the area to the left is a lovely space with a full size bed...Grandma's iron bed, two sky lights and built in shelves. The other to the right, and a lot larger space and more concealed, houses two solid oak queen size sleigh beds, built in shelves and blanket chest with two sky lights as well. Descending downstairs to the basement, you are welcomed with another large living space also housing its own large stone fireplace. The back wall to this room is also open with doors and windows leading out to the back porch, allowing tremendous light in and wonderful views out. Its furnishings include another large couch, two chairs and their ottomans and a decorative piece of furniture. A Samsung large 55' LCD flat panel television hangs from one side of the fireplace with DVD player, VCR player, Xbox Kinect, and a large selection of movies etc. On one side, there is a large bedroom with a solid oak queen bed, tall dresser, night stand and a set of comfy bunk beds for the kids, and an overhead fan for convenience. This newly renovated home has all new appliances and granite, and both bathrooms are completely new with tile and marble. There is a wonderful screened in porch facing the lake with spectacular, unimpeded views of the water and wildlife. You will love having your morning coffee there and watching the sunrise. The kitchen and living room area is one big open space and is designed for large families. Beneath the screened porch is a patio with a porch swing and outdoor furniture. There are plenty of floats and various sizes of life jackets for enjoying the water, and there is a ping pong table, 2nd bath, and washer/dryer downstairs. There are also 2 kayaks for guests to enjoy. In 2018, we built a beach area at the water front with real beach sand. It's such a nice, relaxing feature, and children especially love playing in the sand. There's also a fire pit for those evening gatherings near the water around the fire. Floating, boarding, swimming and fishing are just some of the water activities that are just steps away from the door. Kayaks for 4 (2 singles, 1 double) and 3 stand-up paddle boards are available along with 10 floats and beautiful lake views. There are wide wood stairs to walk into the water which is about 4 feet deep or you can jump in from the dock into 6 feet of water. Floating lily pad will be tied up next to the dock. 7 Adirondack chairs on the covered dock, 5 lounges on the boardwalk with an available umbrella. There is a table for 4 with umbrella and 4 folding chairs in the shed if needed. A public boat ramp is within site and the house is very close to Scalleywag's Grill/Marina (live music) and Old North State Marina. Our boat/jet skiis are not available with rental but you can rent skiis from Uwharrie Adventures and a boat from Old North State Marina. Our lake house sleeps 10 (12 max) and has 2 kitchens, 2 dining rooms and 2 living rooms. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs (queens) and 1 Bunk room downstairs. The room also has a single bunk which holds 300 lbs. All linens are included and there are beach towels for the lake.

Bring your boat or jet skis and park them at your own private dock. Jump off the end of the dock where you will find great water depth. Go for a paddle on one of the two kayaks provided for you complimentary with your stay. GG is located in a cove, perfect for fishing or kayaking or just swimming off the dock. Soak in the morning sunrise from the deck. End the day grilling and dine on the deck in the shade as the sun sets. It's the perfect atmosphere to grill and have dinner outdoors. At night, descend downstairs to relax in the media room where you can enjoy a movie or play some board games or video games with the family. Or, roast some marshmallows for s'mores after a night's swim. If the need arises where you have to squeeze in a little bit of work, you can do so at the workstation. Fiber optic internet is included. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, coffee maker, blender, hand mixer, toaster, utensils, dishes, knives, cups, plates, etc... We provide an automatic under cabinet ice maker, convenient for filling your cooler to take to the dock or on your boat, rather than making trips to the store to purchase ice. This house just had a complete overhaul. It has been painted from top to bottom and has some new furniture plus new mattresses(the original mattress), bedding, refrigerator, ice maker, etc... The main floor provides an open floor plan KIT/LR/DR with access to a spacious deck overlooking the lake. Down the hallway is the laundry closet, the main bathroom with access from the master bedroom and a second bedroom. Downstairs is the media room with a workstation area and a third bedroom with two full size beds. Walk through the sunroom out to the lake side yard, large enough for the kids to run and play. During the week of 4th of July, we are requiring a 7 night stay. You will not want to miss this week on Badin. The fireworks are fantastic. Uwharrie Point has a spectacular fireworks show, but the lake residents give them a run for their money. At dusk take your boat out to the open water and you will witness beautiful fireworks throughout the sky in every direction. A big bonus, is this house is situated on the boat parade route! It's my most favorite tradition where boats cruise by the docks and some will even try to squirt you with their water guns as they drive by. You can squirt your water guns too! It is a great experience!!! We have two options for boat landings. One is closer by water, the other is closer by land. Neighborhood landing 5-min via land and water. Public landing 6-7 minutes via land and 1 minute via water. Pets-Nobody wants to board their dogs and we certainly don't want you to either. As part of the family, we want you to be able to bring them with you to enjoy on your vacation. However, we do have to keep in mind cleanliness. Therefore, we are limiting our pet policy to small dogs and hypoallergenic dogs in order to keep furniture and bedding as clean as possible. Thank you for your understanding. There are many places to visit nearby with downtown Charlotte being only an hour away as well Greensboro and Winston Salem and the Triad. Albemarle, Asheboro, and Thomasville, are all 30 minutes away and offer some dining. Richfield is a short 15 minute drive. There are some dining options here as well as a grocery store. We are very fortunate to have a Dollar General 5 minutes away to take care of your last minute needs. Locally, we have Scallywags, Badin Lake Family Restaurant, Cheers Lakeside Bar & Grill. Over 5 days we seldom saw anyone on the water outside of a few serious fisherman. We mostly fished largemouth bass but would occasionally work the panfish during the heat of the day. There was easily 70+ bass caught and 50+ panfish. The hammock was great in the evenings and Bryan left the gas grill ready to go which was a welcome means of cooking for the man trip. We all had a wonderful time and capped it off with a tasty Tuckertown fish fry.
